FWQA Legislative Visits to Tallahassee

The Florida Water Quality Association is returning to the State Capitol! On Thursday, February 5, 2026, the FWQA Board of Directors and our members will advocate for the water quality industry during our annual Legislative Day in Tallahassee.
Our Mission
This event is a cornerstone of our commitment to our membership. By meeting face-to-face with Florida’s Representatives and Senators, we ensure that the FWQA remains a recognized and trusted resource for water quality expertise. Our goals for the 2026 visit include:

Establishing Relationships: Building personal connections with legislators to ensure our voice is heard when water-related policy is drafted.

Proactive Advocacy: Working closely with our lobbyist, David Ramba, to monitor upcoming bills and protect the interests of the water quality industry.

Legislative Education: Providing lawmakers with the data and industry insights they need to make informed decisions regarding Florida’s water resources.
Why This Matters
Legislative visits allow the FWQA to stay ahead of regulatory changes rather than simply reacting to them. During our 2025 visit, our delegation was well-received, sparking vital conversations and questions from committee members. We look forward to building on this momentum in February.
