FWQA goes to Tallahassee

The FWQA Board of Directors and members traveled to the Florida Capitol in Tallahassee on March 11, 2025, to meet with legislators.

Our mission was to introduce FWQA to the Representatives and Senators and provide information about FWQA and the valuable resource we are for any water quality issues they may encounter.  At this moment, we do not have any bills that have been introduced that have a specific effect on our industry, but our lobbyist, David Ramba, is always looking out for us and was able to meet with us before we went for our visits on Tuesday.

We were able to attend the Committee meeting of the House Natural Resources & Disaster Subcommittee in the morning.

Our delegation then split up and visited individual legislators on that committee and others in our specific districts. We were well received and most of the visits prompted many questions from the legislators.

This is an important service for our membership. It allows us to establish relationships, make our legislators aware of our association, and keep our industry proactive.

We are planning our trip back to Tallahassee in February 2026.
