FWQA Scholarship Program 2026 Winners

Florida Water Quality Association is proud to officially announce the recipients of its annual Scholarships for the upcoming 2026/2027 academic year. This year, we have three outstanding applicants who were selected from a highly competitive pool of applicants from our member companies, demonstrating exceptional academic dedication, community leadership, and resilience.

The scholarship program was established to help alleviate financial barriers for students pursuing higher education. Recipients are selected by an independent committee based on academic merit, personal essays, and their commitment to making a positive impact in their communities.

Meet the This Year’s Scholarship Recipients:

• Ainsley Crites graduated from State College of Florida Collegiate School in Venice, FL.  She not only has her high school diploma, but also has completed her Associate degree. She will be attending Florida Gulf Coast University to prepare to apply for medical school.

• Olivia West graduated from Lowndes High School.  She plans to attend Tallahassee State College and pursue a degree in athletic training or sports medicine.

• Daniel Fernandez Moraes is our first recipient for a scholarship directly related to WQA Certification.  Daniel applied for the scholarship to help cover the cost of the WQA Certified Installer Course- a one-year program. He is currently enrolled and we look forward to his completion and applying it to servicing his water treatment customers.
